MY APPROACH.

Supporting you in grief, loss and life transitions

If you or someone dear to you has been diagnosed with a terminal illness, or a loved one has died, you are probably experiencing a combination of fear, anger, and sadness. You are not alone. And you are in the right place.

REASONS FOR SEEKING GRIEF COUNSELLING

Give yourself permission to feel, explore, and begin to move forward

Thanatology and Grief Counselling is a form of therapy that helps the bereaved explore their distress and confusing feelings without judgment or rush. In my sessions, I hold space for you to allow the process, easing the fear that you are losing your mind, and help you understand the nature and dynamics of grief.

I aim to always open windows for personal growth, at your own pace.

MY GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Personalized attention

Everyone is welcome

Everyone is received with equal care and respect in my practice.

Integrative approach

Healing requires attention to the whole person, not just one part of you.

No one-size-fits-all

Every person grieves differently, and every loss carries its own meaning. We move at your pace.

Grief is not a problem

I am here to listen, validate and help you integrate your loss and not to "fix you" so you can "move on".

Warm

Every conversation is held with genuine care and human warmth.

Compassionate

Your pain is met with deep empathy, never judgment.

Open-minded

Your grief, in all its forms, is welcome here.

Inclusive

An inclusive, judgment-free space where every story is welcomed with respect and compassion.

Talking & Walking
Outdoors

Experience counselling in the calming presence of nature.

These outdoor sessions combine compassionate therapeutic support with the restorative benefits of walking, offering a gentle and reflective space to process grief, life transitions, and other challenges.

There is nothing quite like integrating a love for dogs and nature into a Walk and Talk Session. Sometimes the most meaningful conversations happen when we are moving through the world rather than sitting still.

If walking in nature feels like the right setting for your sessions, I would love to explore that option  with you.

GETTING STARTED

Finding the right counsellor for you

Finding the right counsellor, end-of-life educator, and cancer coach is one of the most important parts of the healing process. Research consistently shows that the quality of the relationship between you and your counsellor is one of the strongest predictors of a positive therapeutic experience.

That is why I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation before you schedule your first appointment. This is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, for you to share what brings you here, ask any questions you may have, and explore whether my approach feels like the right fit for your needs.

There is no obligation and no pressure, just a warm, supportive conversation to help you make the decision that feels right for you.

What to expect

Your free 15-minute discovery call is relaxed and informal. Here is how it works:

Reach out via the contact form or by email to request your free call.

Our complimentary 15-minute consultation is an opportunity to connect, explore what you're looking for, and answer any questions you may have. You are free to share as much or as little as you wish, at your own pace and without any obligation.

If you feel comfortable moving forward and we agree that my approach meets your needs, we'll schedule your first session.

"Grief is a way of loving, love is a way of grieving.
They need each other in order to be themselves"

Stephen Jenkinson
